Church Leadership
Currently, the leadership structure of First Baptist Church of Moravia consists of the Senior Pastor, assisted by the Deacon Board, with the Trustees handling all practical & financial concerns of the church. Various ministry needs are covered by committees.
However, for the past several years, we have been revising our constitution and preparing to be Biblically aligned by installing Elders and Deacons as defined by Scripture.
Our most recent senior pastor moved to NC in June 2026, and Marc and Ken are serving as the interim preachers until the next man God has called to be the full-time pastor is hired.
Ken Eaton
Deacon
Ken and his wife, Jamie, have been married since 1998 and have two children. Ken grew up locally and returned to the area after nearly 30 years on the West Coast. He and his family have been attending FBCM since 2017. Previously, they attended and served at Placerita Bible Church in Newhall, California.
Ken has served in a variety of ministries, including sound, children’s ministry, and teaching. He desires to see the local church grow in unity, spiritual maturity, and Christ-likeness as a healthy and well-ordered body of believers.
Ken holds to substantial agreement with the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith as a faithful summary of what Scripture teaches.
Marc Vellake
Deacon
Marc and his family have been attending FBCM since 2019. He and his lovely wife, Jilissa, son Antony, and daughter Natalya live in Moravia, where Marc spent his early childhood.
In 2025, Marc received his Master of Theology degree from Forge Theological Seminary. Marc has served in various teaching and leadership roles in churches he has been a member of since 2014.
One of Marc’s greatest desires is that when he dies, he be remembered as a man whose actions, priorities, worship, advice, and leadership were all governed by Scripture to the glory of God…even if that could be annoying at times.
Marc holds to substantial agreement with the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith as a faithful summary of what Scripture teaches.
